July PL card

I used sketch #78 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME PL STYLE"  to make my card to start my July PL pages.   I do Project Life by the month and not the week so always like to start with some kind of month card.   This sketch worked great.

The link is above and here is the sketch.

Elle's First July 4th

We were all together for July 4th this year,  we did the hamburger, hot dog, brat cook-out,  went swimming and watched NY fireworks on TV and still had time to drive out to a viewing spot for the local fireworks.

This was Elle's first July 4th celebration & I bought this blue and white striped outfit to wear for the day and sitting up here on these red cushions was perfect for taking a picture to celebrate this holiday for the first time.

I'll enter this at  "LASTING MEMORIES"    The new challenge this week is........

LM #352 - Scrap that 4th of July adventure!

We want you to show us your 4th of July adventure! If you didn't have an adventurous American holiday or are not American, show some red, white, and blue. or show some sparkle in your layout.

Celebrate July 4th

I love July 4th layouts but don't have a lot of pictures but here is the first one I get to make for this year.   Our granddaughters down in Orlando had a party at home with crafts and fun foods.

I'm entering this layout in two different challenges.  STICK IT DOWN & SCRAP OUR STASH

First here is the sketch challenge at   "STICK IT DOWN"   It was perfect to use two 3x4 pictures of the girls and their party plates and food.   Here is the sketch.

Next I used the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"    I used the middle veritcal column of red/white/blue colors, stars and a tag.

Fathers Day 2017

Sketch #91 is now up at  "THE MEMORY NEST"   Circles, circles everywhere.   I went with three different doily designs and all different colors, to pull the bits of colors out of the background paper and also from what the Avery and Dylan have on with their Dad and the other colors in the picture.   I thought this was such a sweet picture so it was fun to scrap it for the girls ongoing scrapbook.

Cancun 1995

I've been having fun lately making layouts with some pictures I found at my Dads house in May.
My Mom and Dad, my husband and our two kids all went on a week long vacation to Cancun.
We had so much fun. sitting out side every day and just relaxing, watching the kids play in the ocean
and in the sand.   We walked around at night to find a new fun place for dinner.  It was all such a great time.   I only had a few picture so was thrilled to find more that I didn't have at Dad's house.

So for my reveal for the week one of July challenge #283 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME" I made this layout.    Here is the sketch and I hope you will play along too.

#3 Birthday

I'm catching up the last few days on the sketches for June over at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"
Being out of town for a full week and a couple other weekends during June really put me behind on the challenges that I love to work with every month.

So for this layout of my Granddaughter Dylan's 3rd birthday I used Sketch #282, the last one for the month of June.   I did use a horizontal picture instead of the vertical one that is in the sketch, but it still working out great this way too.

Here is the link to   "SKETCHES IN THYME"   and the sketch.

5 months old

Where does the time go.   I swear it was just a couple of weeks ago I was in the hospital room getting to watch my granddaughter be born.    But I get to watch her change day by day in pictures when I'm not in town with her.  Although only living 2 hours away I do get to see her in person many many times and I love every one of them.

Obviously this is the picture taken of her on her 5th month birthday on the 26th.   I'm glad I got it and get to used the great sketch #281 at   "SKETCHES IN THYME"     It was perfect to use with this picture.

Here is the link to   "SKETCHES IN THYME"   and also the sketch, still a couple of days to play along.
